During the first day of camp, we introduce the children to professional basketball by going over the basic fundamentals: dribbling, shooting, and passing. We also pay careful attention in evaluating each child, properly placing them in the correct group based on age and skill.
On day two we push up the tempo of each workout and skill training. We deep dive into the basics of triple threat and the moves one can do to catch a defender off guard, including the jab step, shot fake, and pivoting. We will also go over the correct form of shooting, or B.E.E.F. (Balance, Eyes, Elbows, Follow Through). We also do various dribbling moves in which the kids try to make a defender reach, jump or hesitate so they can score much each easier on offense.
